Itinerary
Day 1: Hanoi – Ninh Binh – Hoa Lu – Trang An complex (L, D)
8.00 am: Depart from Hanoi to Ninh Binh, located in the marshy Red River Delta, featuring a network of waterways coupled with spectacular limestone formations rising up from rice paddy fields.
Spend one hour visiting the Dinh and Le temples of the Ancient Capital Hoa Lu which are dedicated to King Dinh and King Le, the founders of the ancient capital during the 10th century.
Transfer to your hotel for checking in, take rest and have lunch at the restaurant with local specialties.
Afternoon, continue to visit Trang An complex nearby which recently recognized as a UNESCO World natural heritage, get on a rowing boat (small sampan) traveling along the small river with scenic mountain and green fields landscape. The boat takes you to visit cave complex of Trang An: Sang Cave, Toi Cave, Ba Giot Cave, Nau Ruou in mystery and wildness, the scenery of mountain and rivers – Halong on the land of Ninh Binh.
Have dinner at the restaurant and overnight at hotel in Ninh Binh.
Day 2: Mua Cave – Van Long Floating Village – Hanoi (B, L)
After breakfast, check out your hotel and traveling to Mua Cave, you will wallow in a wonderful landscape of mountain, valley, and river. We first climb up hundreds of steps to lead to a temple on top of a hill, the spectacular views from Mua Cave over Tam Coc and Ninh Binh’s stunning countryside are well worth the effort.
Continue to Van Long floating village (wetland) then take a boat trip rowing along this beautiful wetland of Van Long Natural Reserve, enjoying spectacular scenery surrounded by rice paddies and towering limestone mountain peaks. After the boat ride, hop on a bike to discover the countryside of Van Long floating village.
Have lunch at the local restaurant before driving back to Hanoi late in the afternoon. Finish at your hotel.
